Yesterday we had a new client walk in our office that was involved in a car accident over the weekend. Our client’s car was not only significantly damaged but they also suffered serious injuries in the crash. However, the at-fault driver only had Property Damage (PD) coverage and not Bodily Injury (BI) coverage on their insurance policy. Our client told us that they had not purchased Uninsured Motorist (UM) coverage.

This scenario represented a frustrating situation for our client because even though the repairs to their car would be covered by the at-fault driver’s PD coverage, their personal injury damages would not since the at-fault driver did not have BI coverage and also because our client elected to not purchase UM coverage.

Our client still has several options available to them that will help cover their damages.

We can help you with your legal questions.
