Do not sign “THAT” document if you are not sure of what it says. Recently, a person presents to us that their new car was almost a total loss after a car accident. They were told that the insurance company would not send them a check unless they signed a document that said “PROPERTY DAMAGE RELEASE”. Desperate for the money, they signed...they got the check...they also signed away their legal rights without knowing that they could also receive further compensation for loss of use, diminished value, and bodily injuries.
Do not sign anything if you are not sure.

No firme “ESE” documento si no está seguro de lo que dice. Recientemente, una persona nos
presenta que su auto nuevo fue casi una pérdida total después de un accidente automovilístico. Se les dijo que la compañía de seguros no les enviaría un cheque a menos que firmaran un documento que dijera “LIBERACIÓN DE DAÑOS A LA PROPIEDAD”. Desesperados por el dinero, firmaron...recibieron el cheque...también sin saber renunciaron a su derecho legal a recibir una compensación adicional por la pérdida de uso, la disminución del valor, y las lesiones personales.
No firme nada si no está seguro.
