This morning, one of the legal assistants told me that they did not see me all day but that they knew that I was in my office because they heard me typing on my key board.
As an attorney you will have days that all you do is research case law and write your position in a memorandum of law, legal brief, or in a motion that you prepare to set for hearing. That was yesterday for me.
There are other days that you may not even step into your office because you may be in court, deposition, hearing, mediation, or in a conference room meeting with clients. That was my Monday.
I am writing this post because I often get asked by students what should they expect from the practice of law. After explaining, I then end the discussion by saying that I always give thanks to God for blessing me with the opportunity to represent people as their attorney.
