Last week we had Two (2) types of stolen car cases: 1) Car Accident: stolen car caused a car accident injuring both our clients (fortunately our clients carried uninsured motorist coverage that will cover their bodily injuries); and 2) Fraudulent Sale: client purchased a stolen car where the scam artist seller did not have legal title to transfer (now their telephone number has been disconnected).
As inflation continues to increase so will car thefts. The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) found that motor vehicle thefts in the US jumped 16.6% in 2020 compared to 2019.
