I just now met with a family that was involved in a car accident several weeks ago.
They confirmed that the at fault driver did not have Bodily Injury insurance and that they did not purchase Uninsured Motorist insurance.
It was heart breaking having to tell this family that their damages would likely not be covered.
Florida does NOT require you to purchase BI and UM insurance. Before you purchase or re-new your insurance policy please make sure that all of your questions are answered.
