If you are involved in a car accident that you did not cause the other driver’s insurance company will call you to request a recorded statement and may even offer you money to resolve the case. Last week we met with an individual that faced this same situation. They were in a car accident that they did not cause and on the same day of the accident received a call from the other driver’s insurance adjuster demanding a recorded statement. The recorded statement was taken and then the individual was offered money to settle the case. The individual came to see us wherein they told they were thinking of accepting the money but were concerned because the amount offered did not cover all the medical bills from the hospital. Be careful because insurance company’s know that they can get away with offering you thousands of dollars less than what your personal injury case is really worth. If you accept the check you will no longer be able to get more even if your expenses continue to increase. One other thing, do not agree to a recorded statement without having your attorney present.

Si acepta el cheque, ya no podrá recibir más, incluso si sus gastos continúan aumentando. Otra cosa, no acepte una declaración grabada sin la presencia de su abogado.
